Rates from 1.11.2007 to 30.04.2008

Prices have NOT changed from 2007 to 2008 until end of April 2008, except the basic camping fee.

Prices have to be up-dated due to permanent petrol price increases

Please Note: All rates (including camping) are per person per night and include the following:
  • The booked accommodation: best view, standard, economy, or camping package. All rooms and tents are with ensuite bathroom.
  • The meals: three-course dinner (with salad and coffee or tea) and breakfast. Lunch is not included and has to be booked separately.
  • Use of our big swimming pool, different marked walking trails and a visit to our small wildlife infocenter with wildlife books and magazines.
  • The main attraction "Cats Unlimited", a leopard and cheetah drive, duration +/- 70 min; departure in winter (April to September) 14.30; in summer (October to March) 15.30.
  • Game Drive for plains game; duration +/- 1.5 h; departure: in winter (April to September) 16.00; in summer (October to March) 17.00.
  • 15% VAT and the bedlevy of 2% are included in the price.
  • Offer: If you stay two nights, the very scenic 1.5-hour "Mountain zebra drive" into the Khomas Hochland will be free on request. Please request this in your reservation or on arrival.
  • EXCLUDED: any change in or new goverment tax.
  • Please note: All our room and safari tent prices include DBB and the above-mentioned activities. If you would like to stay longer but you do not want to do the activities each day we can subtract N$ 320.00/person/day.
  • Don't forget: We are only a small safari guest farm (ranch/lodge with only 13 beds) concentrating on the individual traveller and small groups. This makes Düsternbrook GF (or Lodge) just a little bit more exclusive and personal as there are no big buses here. This is an advantage for the concerned traveller.
  • We are proud to have received several awards in the following years 1998, 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005, and again in 2007. Eco Award in 2005 and again in 2007.

42-29 days before arrival: 25% of booked service
28-15 days before arrival: 50% of booked service

  • We reserve the right to increase our rates at any time in accordance with electricity and fuel price increases and any possible government taxes or changes in VAT (value added tax), bed levy, or land tax.
  • For confirmation of your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% is to be paid.
  • No self-catering facilities are available.

The MZD is a very scenic drive into the Khomas Hochland, with a chance to see, apart from other game, the rare Hartmann's Mountain Zebra, which is endemic to (found only in) Namibia. Beautiful views.

For the above-mentioned activities, single persons or unscheduled tours can be accommodated for 1.5 x the regular tour rate.So a single person AND unscheduled will be 1.5.x.1.5 = 2.25 the normal rate.
Day visitors: Use of the swimming pool and hiking trails is free in combination with other paid activities. Day visitors you wish to use only our swimming pool and/or our walking trails, then there is a entrance fee of N$ 65.00 p.P.
Meals and Beverages
Our kitchen and small bar offer only a small variety: sandwichs with home-baked bread or warm meals. Warm meals have to be booked in advance or before 11:00 on the same day. We offer selected South African wines, Namibian beer, fruit juices and soft drinks.
