Düsternbrook Guest Farm was the first guest farm in Namibia (established in 1962). The old farmhouse (1909) and its outbuildings are beautifully renovated and built out of natural stone. Enjoy the fantastic view into the surrounding savanna of the private game park containing many wild animals such as giraffe, zebra, oryx, and birds.
Only 18 km from the B1, north of Windhoek on the way to Etosha game park or Sossusvlei (via Swakopmund), it is easy to reach. Only 50 km from Windhoek and 90 km from the international airport.
A small guest farm with only 13 beds, family run, with a private atmosphere for the independent traveller who enjoys individual care (no buses).
Quiet, separate, and comfortable rooms with ensuite bathroom as well as two big safari luxury tents with fixed wall bath ensuite.
Small camping area, with 4 to 5 sites, showers, and toilet.
Big swimming pool surrounded by palm trees for relaxing next to a thatch-roofed lapa.
Breakfast, halfboard or fullboard (on request), various soft drinks and a few selected South African wines. Every day fresh home-baked bread and jams. Often we have game meat for lunch and dinner and we also produce our own sausages and smoked meat.
Exciting, exceptionally good cheetah and leopard viewing opportunity.
Abundant wildlife in our private game park 'Ozohorongo'. Plains game and even white rhino. Scenic mountain drive into the Khomas Highlands. Endemic Hartmann's mountain zebra.
Horse riding or hiking with game viewing in the private game park.
