Namibia's tourist agency in Frankfurt: Namibia Tourism Board

This tourist agency is really very good, espacially their homepage, which contains a lot of useful tips. Unfortunately the homepage is only in german. Check "Gut zu Wissen von A...bis Z".

Note! My only critique is that institutions of the government are recommended too highly and their service in comparison to their prices is not good. Private Guestfarms and Lodges are only mentioned secondarily. But - as I know from my own experience and from what my guests have told me - the service in private institutions is a lot better and usually also cheaper.

Further I must also offer an advertisement for the central region of Namibia. Normally only the north (Caprivi) and the south (Sossusvlei) regions are mentioned as 'must sees'. But all the other regions also have a lot to offer. For example the Khomas Highlands, one of the oldest mountains in the central part of Namibia, is a wonderful area to go trekking and enjoy the awesome views. And last but not least, because of the lesser inhabitants in this region, there are many more animals around.

Photographs

Guestfarm Duesternbrook is a very famous place for many photographers (amateur and professional). Our leopards and cheetahs are a great photo object. In case you want to order pictures of our leopards and cheetahs or if you just want to see a few very nice pictures, then check the following pages of several photographers. Most of them have mentioned the origin of their pictures. Thank you to all of them. Unfortunately there are always photos which were taken on our farm but which are without declaration.

Camping

Tip! Always compare prices. In 2005 the prices of the governmental institutions increased so now most of the private camping sites are cheaper.
